TappyPotato
About Us
TappyPotato — The answer is not the point. Thinking is. A curated atlas of logic-puzzle types, plus the sites where you can actually play them.
Who we are
The site is run by TappyPotato at www.tappypotato.com. We don't write or host puzzles, and we don't run contests — we explain the rules, then point you to the sites where you can play them.
What we do
The atlas has two paths: How to play covers 82 types across 12 groups — rules, how to start, where players get stuck, and where to play. Where to play lists 179 live sites in 19 categories; every card opens the original site. Guides are attached to categories; after you read one, go play.
What the atlas covers
Strongest on Nikoli-style pencil puzzles, Sudoku and variants, Nonogram, arithmetic cages, and all-in-one portals — with solid lists for contests and solvers, and thinner ones for word, board, mechanical, escape, math, mazes and visual. How to play explains the rule; Where to play lists the hosts. Classic logic has type pages first; dedicated sites there are still sparse.
How we pick sites
The site has to load, the rules or how you play have to be readable, and the site has to look maintained. Free or freemium first. Dead links go out on each update. Readers can suggest sites or puzzle types; we review before anything goes up.
Who writes this, and how we rank
Every site here is opened and checked by an editor before it goes up. We do not sell rank or charge a listing fee. We order by how useful a site is for actually playing: readable rules, working grids, no hard paywall — not traffic or payment. Links are spot-checked on each atlas update; if a link is broken or a rule is wrong, write tappypotato@foxmail.com. Last pass over this atlas: 2026-09-22.
